The best budget skincare with powerful formulas and no-frills presentation. These products will make a visible difference but won’t break the bank. AD: this is not …

Thanks Ruth!! I am 25 and just getting my hands into some skincare that is not spf 😂. It's very kind of you to share your knowledge with us, who are not ready to go from 0 to £70 retinols 😅

Thank you for doing this series 😊 I was wondering whether you could do something similar regarding hair, nails, body etc that would be awesome!

I used the exact Vitamin C by GOW you showed. It made my skin veeery prone to blackheads. I used it up anyway, didn't repurchase.. my blackheads are gone. I love GOW as a brand but unfornunately that Vit C is a no no for me

I bought the GOW vitamin C, the first one stopped dispensing product, had another sent out, this one has done the same. The product was good but now I’m concerned about buying any of their products

Thanks Ruth, lovely video. Pixi has a retinol serum and works wonderfully for my sensitive skin. No peeling.

I really enjoy all The ordinary retinols. Started with the emulsion then moved to the range in squalane . I’ve had no peeling. I’ve tried more expensive and higher levels of retinol and found I couldn’t use them everyday even after building up. The ordinary saves me money and I can use them everyday.

GoW Vit C brilliant. I follow with their Prickly Pear. Great skin tips! Davin Lim had a great explanation about why HA is sometimes drying

There's a product that makes my skin insanely perfect. I have never found anything like it. Skyn Iceland Nordic skin peel. It's heaven in a jar for the skin.

On the hyaluronic acid, it's much more effective if your face is damp before applying (and you definitely need to use a moisturizer after). I use tretinoin daily and the Good Molecules hyaluronic acid has made a huge difference in flaky skin. The Ordinary also has another mask, the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution, which I use once a week. It is wonderful!

My favorite budget product is Good Molecules Niacinamide serum from Beautylish at $6.00 US. It looks like they ship to many countries.

Thanks Ruth. Skin care, growing up, was always Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize. Then came my sun spots, rosacea, lines, broken capillaries, dehydration….in other words, aging and life. I have been wanting to try these items but am always a little leery asking for help at the store as pushing products (albeit well intentioned) is what ends up happening. I feel like I am better equipped now, and will start with these more economical options. Thanks again!

All of a sudden all the acid products are breaking me out. Switched to body shop aloe Vera moisturiser for a bit of minimalism and it’s the best thing I’ve done. My skin is so calm and smooth and hydrated. Can’t help but think we are getting duped in to piling a lot of rubbish on to our faces.

                                                            Lena Emilia

I have read somewhere that vitamin c stops working the second it comes in contact with oxygen. How does that work with the moisturizer?
