Blue Eye for Staying in (feat. a quick Ted Talk)I filmed this on Wednesday evening, for a Thursday upload, but it look a bit of editing – note to self… don’t film next to a big open window when there’s a strong …

Dear Lisa, I have been watching your wonderful tutorials for several months now, they’re a big part of my ‘me’ time in my massage chair…afraid I’ve filled 6 shelves with makeup products as a consequence ?. My profile pics have improved a lot, though, so thank you so much! I do love this video, not just because of the cats, which I love (don’t have one myself, but actively sharing my neighbour’s cat ?), but also because I have blue eyes and every time I get a makeup done, for example for a Parfumerie-event photo shooting (not sure what this would be called in your world ?), I need to fight hard to get the blue palette ?. Ever since I first tried a metallic blue eyeliner for the first time (must have been 16), I’ve thought blue eyeshadow/liner looks great on (my) blue eyes, browns being a very very remote second…totally different way of bringing eyes to life…thank you so much for suggesting blue on blue on record ? (not really the metallic eyeliner, I know). Stay healthy and please continue generously sharing your knowledge with us. I’ve been wondering about whether there is a way to soften marionette lines with makeup. They are so horribly ageing… Lots of love from Germany, Lisa, and thank you so much for beautifying the world ?

Love this look so much! I’m going to give this look a try very soon. I have very dark eyes and brown skin and I think these colors would compliment my coloring nicely. Your skin is just lovely and Betty is a gorgeous girl 🙂

I love your videos… you're inspiring me to become a make up artist! I work as a teacher in China so I know how scary and hard the quarantine is. It gets better honestly. <3

Love your videos, always gives me a smile. Can you do a tutorial for extremely hooded eyes? So hard to find help out there. Lots of love, be safe, Aloha!

I have watched your videos for years and honestly these last two are my favorite. I’m way too scared to try blue eyeshadow, but after your last video, I knew I had to see this one. These two videos are so humanizing of you and I have never felt as relatable to someone I admire. Right down to the same hair issues and not shaving for weeks. Yes!!!! Please keep uploading more videos. I Absolutley am loving this more natural side of you ????

I think so many of us can relate to not doing much at all during the day. Ive had to make myself up a daily schedule or the damn housework wouldnt get done either lol. Ive discovered a lovely young woman here on Youtube who at present is doing a 30 day quarantine exercise challenge. Every day is something different and each one only lasts anywhere from 8 to 12 mins. Im normally rubbish at sticking to a regular exercise program but have found myself looking forward to it every day. Nothing impossible to follow and easy to see whats going on. If anyone else wants to give it a go just search for Holly Dolke on here. Two absolutely gorgeous cats Lisa! I enjoyed Teds talk lol. Our dog likes to have a chat with us but she sounds like Chewbacca from Star Wars lol. Love and hugs from Malaysia xx

Hey, Lisa! I so enjoyed your video. Besides being a makeup lover, I am a cat lover and enjoyed your Ted talk as well as the cameo appearance by your temperamental kitty at the end. You are such a delight to watch as well as a wealth of knowledge. Try not to beat yourself up about anything. Other than using the word “should” as in we “should” wash our hands & stay safe, “should” needs to leave our vocabularies. There are way too many stressors in our lives today, without putting more pressure on ourselves. Some days, it is a victory when I brush my teeth, wash my face, use my skincare, arrange my hair and feed my cats then wipe down the kitchen & bathrooms. A full day! My husband is an essential employee adding major angst when he leaves for work. Watching all sorts of YT videos plus old favorite movies and playing my video game (which I never expected to enjoy so much!) are great mood lifters.
I also am happy contacting family & friends. When I am exceptionally energized or motivated, I’ve been sorting things and getting rid of detritus. I’ve actually found some hidden treasures among the stuff I’ve stashed my away like a container of disinfecting wipes!
So, many thanks, Lisa, not just for your recent videos, but for all of them throughout the years. I rewatch your emotional video about buying Audrey Hepburn’s lipstick case and although
I know the ending, I’m still thinking, Oh, I hope she gets it instead of that person in Michigan! And when you describe discovering Audrey’s actual lipstick inside, the glow on your face is priceless!
I hope you and your family continue to do well. I’m sure your cats will keep you informed on what they want and deserve and how you best be quick about getting/doing it! Wishing you all the best! ?❤️?April 13, 2020 at 7:10 am #123404HoshiHeart
Lisa Eldridge, I was overcome with emotion when Christine McConnelle mentioned you as one of her top favorite make up artists. I am not sure if you two have ever had the chance to speak, but she created a make up looking using one or two of your make up products on her channel. You are my top favorite make up artist, I love how refined, chic, effortless your make up application is, as well as the warmly intricate way you narrate your videos. Thank you for allowing us so much of your knowledge because you are the reason many of us dream to prove our parents that artistry can and IS a profession. I hope one day when you are able and Corona is out of the way, you are able to collab with Christine. Love you so much and send you lots of care! 😀 By Cesar Romero Instagram: Kismetickid

thanks Lisa, good Easter? skincare would be on my wish list for us with mature skin?? Here in Denmark we are just beginning to reopen the country – I think it's too soon, but we have to see how it goes. we are a little excited about when we can gather more than 10 people, for our daughter's wedding is approaching soon. But rather safe than sorry. I hope we all in the world see this as an opportunity for us all to stress down a little and remember the next love – for our world was becoming too selfish …
Love your Cats ?❤ xoxo from Denmark???April 13, 2020 at 7:10 am #123406Karine Kocharyan
Dear Lisa, the look is beautiful, you are beautiful, it is such a blessing to have pets at home, I have a cat named Ollie and he is our centre of universe now days. Wishing you and your country a quick recovery from this nightmare.???????

She is beautiful!! I can see why she feels she belongs on Camera !!! Loved the Ted Talk, very sweet and important. I hope all is going well with you and your people and all are safe. Stay safe and well, hugs from California! We have been raining NON STOP for nearly the entire months of March and April, with very cold weather and at times HAIL, so don't feel alone in not exercising or running or what ever. I am just trying to stay warm here and the firewood has run out!! Thank goodness for lushie faux fur throws!

I have not even one blue eyeshadow and now I need whole palette ? I have brown eyes as well; this makeup looks stunning – especially with face mask ? About lockdown – in Poland it’s one month now and I’m turning into my mum – I’ve started cooking comfort food and baking cakes and breads like crazy. And I don’t even like cooking! I think it’s about being productive and doing something that nourish people you love? ??♀️ It also gives me kind of daily routine and purpose – I’m making a lot of bread and giving it to my neighbours (actually leaving on their doormats 😉 My 3yo is VERY energetic so I have maybe 5min before sleep to worry ? Also – don’t beat yourself up with all that news! I read news once a day and I feel so much better – thinking all day about pandemic isn’t helping. And I discovered that classic literature is pure escapism – try Jane Austen, Tolstoy (Anna Karenina!), Dickens ?

Lisa all my life I wear only blush and concealer but I love your videos, they’re relaxing and beautiful. I write down everything you teach me thinking I’ll definitely apply it to me and one day I will for sure. You’re the loveliest inspiration. Thank you

I've been working from home now for a month and I'm beginning to get used to it. Some days judt fly by. Both my cats went under the duvet when Ted began his talk ?

OMG! My cat stinker did the same thing today. She brings me a little toy bird she's obsessed with. Stay safe and thank you for putting out great things. I wish you had used the Victoria Beckham blue palette Royal that she has out. I'd love to see what you would do with that.

Oh, Lisa, I love you so much. I just shaved my legs for the first time (last night) since going into quarantine too. That cracked me up so much! There's something freeing about it, but oh man, once it gets to a certain length it makes me feel so crazy. 😉 And I'm so reassured to hear that other people are just… taking it easy. We don't have to learn new skills or work during this time. It's okay to kind of step back. It feels sort of gentle and old-timey, and I'm grateful for it in that way, if that doesn't sound too odd.

This was such a delight to watch! I’ve been a fan of yours for a decade now and my favourite kind of look is when you do bold colour like this. I’ve been experimenting more with bright colours in my makeup and it’s so much fun. Like you said, I like “feeling” the colour develop – when you layer eyeshadows on top of each other you end up getting this gorgeous, nuanced colour that isn’t necessarily what you thought it’d be at first. Especially when you add different textures and finishes, it’s such a fun process. Also adore your cats – when Ted was talking both of mine were looking around to try to figure out what was going on. Stay safe, healthy and happy! Xo
PS you look gorgeous! Your skin is so glowy!

Thank you Lisa, this is just what I needed today, there is something very relaxing and therapeutic about watching someone do their makeup, especially because you have such a lovely and calm demeanour, and I always learn something from you and get inspired. I love the colourful but wearable looks you create, this one is a favourite already. When you talk about ‘ creating shape’, this is something i’d love to hear more tips on , I struggle with this when doing my own makeup , both on eyes and cheeks.
I very much admire you and I am in awe of your career and would love to hear more about your journey as a makeup artist, your high’s and low’s , your views on the industry etc.
I am someone who would usually enjoy and utilise some extra home time, but I am struggling to settle and enjoy things I usually would like reading , cooking , exercise, I just feel uneasy and cant focus very well. There is an eeriness to the quiet rather than a peacefulness. I’m finding I’m watching youtube a lot because a video is easier to focus on than a book or tv show, so thank you for giving me 18 minutes of respite today.

Ted and Betty are absolutely gorgeous! Loved the Ted Talk. <3 Thanks Lisa. Watching your videos is always a little treat for me as I snuggle up with a cup of tea and your beautifully soothing voice and makeup tutorial. Love from Australia x

Really loving your videos Lisa. Please don’t be hard on yourself. We are not on an extended holiday, this situation has been forced upon us. So to set yourself up for a list to get through is not necessary to me. Just staying sane is my goal. Lol. Huge ♥️ from ??
