based on the reviews, it sounds like this skincare line was made for teenagers using mid-2000s beliefs and technology. the effects of the cleanser and exfoliant sound like the clean&clear and st. ives scrub that I used as a teen with oily skin and acne, and the toner and cream sound like products made to soothe skin after all that hormonal oil and acne has been dealt with. it's an outdated skincare routine that can strip the skin barrier – it took me years and years to recover from overzealous physical exfoliation, and I just hope teens these days know better and use gentler products.
