Some influencers spruke products saying how wonderful they are. The next week they spruke another similar product saying the same thing.
There seems to be a lot of excess too. Buy what you need and make sure ethical sourcing. More is just more, which is why I don’t subscribe to a lot of YouTube channels.

I don't like when a ytb guru (or whatever they call themselves) acts all high and mighty about cheap makeup bcs now they can afford pricey one, and we all now how and why he/she started their channel. That is why I like you, there is no bulls…. or looking down on cheaper stuff, just bcs now you are in a different situation in wich you could do whatever you please.

Influencers that received the product the day before and are all ready to tell you something is good or bad—doesn't matter. One use does not equal enough time with product to render a judgement. Also, staring at themselves on camera angling the head to show their super shiny, reflective highlighter laying above the stripes of too-dark bronzer or contour product on their cheeks. They need to watch Wayne's videos to learn how to blend. Just sayin'

I love love the last thing that you said because I was guilty of it.When i was in my 20s I was such a makeup addict and a hoarder that it came to a point where I felt overwhelmed because of the amount of makeup that i have that im not gonna use or hit pan anyway. I would watch makeup collection videos and feel inadequate that I dont have a lot of makeup.Which is of course ridiculous. Three years ago, I decided to do a makeup purge and sold and got rid of more than a half of my makeup and i feel so much better.Now when I see youtubers rave about a certain item, i think about it really hard whether Id be able to use it or if its something expensive then I try samples first and think if its a good investment. Now, i think makeup is somthing personal and so i dont to have every eyeshadow palette in the world because now, i kinda know what works for me. Cheers!!!

Love you Wayne, great video. I'm lucky that I don't really have any of these irritants, but then I think it's to do with the beauty YouTubers that I watch, I'm 48 so I tend to stick to accounts run by and aimed at people of my age group, and I've weeded out any that don't seem to be completely honest. All the people (including yourself) I listen to are very honest and transparent: Sali Hughes, Nadine Baggott, Nisha of Sugar Puff and Fluff, Hot and Flashy etc. We definitely need more honesty and truth 🙌😄

I hate the 10 minute lead-in of "rambling." I would much rather ppl just get to the point and put the talking/extra stuff at the end. Sometimes I'm just looking for a product review or something specific and I'm jumping through several videos. I don't want to listen to what the dog/cat/little Johnny did for 10-15 minutes beforehand, especially if it's a "how-to" video. That said, I DO enjoy knowing more about the ppl I really like, I would just rather have that stuff at the end so it's MY choice if I want to, or have time to, stay & listen. I also don't like the non-edited vids that are 30 min or longer with the entire application at normal speed with them stopping to talk constantly (and not about the makeup). It's one thing if it's a "how-to" & the person is discussing what they are doing, but some ppl do their videos like it's a "hang out with me while I get ready" video rather than a makeup tutorial.

Baking, a ton of highlighter. The "reverse raccoon" look with a white muzzle. I mean the white circles this technique creates around the eyes, and the highlighted tip of the nose looks like a teddy bear nose, but in white.

As i look through the comments I have to say some of my pet peeves are going on and on about how awesome something smells, i have very sensitive skin that either gets hives or contact dermatitis depending on if it is synthetic or natural fragrance so no you are definitely not selling a product to me if it has a "fantastic fragrance " my other one is using layers of foundation, concealer, bronzer, contouring or highlighter I don't use any of those on a daily basis i do use a tiny bit of concealer for my dark circles on days they look extra dark, i also use highlighter here and there but it's definitely not blinding making my face look like my cheeks are melting

I am not a fan of the PR unboxing videos that some Influencers do. IMO It is just like watching someone opening their mail for to many minutes. Waste of time to me. I have my own mail to open why do I need to watch someone else’s? Decluttering cosmetics videos are boring also.
