I'm just wondering how long it would take to do the whole tutorial in real time. 2 or 4 hours? If I didn't have a nail dryer or brush handy, I bet it would take a longer time to achieve. But it does look nice and have some great tips! If only there were nail dryers to help dry regular nail polish faster. I don't like to wait too long. At most, would take me 1-2 hours if I want it to be really perfect. If not, it would be lesser time than that.

Salon Perfect makes a really good topcoat for this. It's called Plumping Gel Gel Effect Topcoat. It gives that thicker shiny effect and bonus – it's also a quick dry topcoat and is only $4 at Walmart!

Find and use a gel soak off base coat. Mix gel top coat with nail polish 1:1. File through color with 100 grit or electric file then soak off when ready to remove. You're welcome!

You can also get your nails to look more glossy by holding your nails upside-down while your top coat is drying. That deposits most of the top coat on the apex of the nail which will leave your nails looking very shiny. This is a tip I learned with gel polish, but I have used it with regular polish also. ??

Wouldn't using rubbing alcohol after the oil be counter productive? I'd think it would dry out your cuticles. If you're using gel top coat does it have to be cured?
